Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Hampton-based Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team live fire their new M777A2 155mm howitzers for the first time Aug. 28, 2017, during annual training at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Reporters and photographers from Hampton Roads area news organizations were on hand for the historic training event.
