ESGR awards Guard and Reserve friendly businesses at National Museum of the Marine Corps

Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia delivered remarks during the recent Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve annual awards banquet, hosted at the National Museum of the Marine Corps near Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, April 21, 2018. Mr. Stephen D. Austin, Assistant Chief of Army Reserve (ACAR) was the keynote speaker. This event serves to highlight employers who received nominations from employees who serve in the Guard or Reserve. These employers prioritize taking care of their Guard and Reserve employees during deployments, drill periods and annual training periods. Fourteen businesses received ‘Above and Beyond’ awards and three companies received the ‘Pro Patria’ award. The ‘Above and Beyond’ awards winners: Armada Hoffler Properties, Clark Nexsen, ENSCO, Inc., Floyd County Sheriff's Office, Hanover Fire and EMS, Lee Wesley Co - Panda Express, Norfolk Sheriff's Office, Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, ScoutComms, Virginia Department of Emergency Management and West Financial Services.
