Virginia transporters, West Virginai MPs train at Fort Pickett

Virginia and West Virginia National Guard transportation and military police Soldiers conduct training on the Asymmetric Threat Lane July 19, 2018, during their two weeks of annual training at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The lane is designed to train Soldiers to recognize indicators for improvised explosive devices, how to react to an IED, direct and indirect fire, conduct key leader engagements and tactical questioning, and the proper techniques for requesting explosive ordnance disposal support and medical evacuation. In the training scenario, West Virginia Soldiers assigned to the Martinsburg, West Virginia-based 157th Military Police Company, 201st Field Artillery Regiment provided security for a simulated logistics convoy run by Virginia Soldiers assigned the Gate City-based 1032nd Transportation Company, 1030th Transportation Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group.
