VDF tests commo equipment, trains with CAP
Members of the Virginia Defense Force conduct communications training July 14, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. After setting up their mobile communications platforms, VDF personnel established connections between four trailers and also worked with the Virginia Civil Air Patrol to establish ground-to-air communications with CAP aircraft operating in the area. The VDF is authorized by the Code of the Virginia as the all-volunteer reserve of the Virginia National Guard and serves as a force multiplier integrated into all VNG domestic operations.
