Medics train on new lifelike “patient” at Fort Pickett

Virginia Army National Guard medics train on the use of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Exportable kit, a lifelike, computer-controlled mannequin designed to simulate various combat injuries, at the New Equipment Training and New Equipment Fielding facility April 6, 2019, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The TC3X device, which can be outfitted to simulate a male or female victim, is capable of simulated breathing, bleeding and movement and responds to first aid treatment, giving the user realistic field wound treatment experience. The medics in attendance will now be able to train their respective units on the use of the device, which can be checked out and used in field training environments at Fort Pickett.
