AG visits with Civil Air Patrol during Fort Pickett encampment

Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, visits with the Virginia Wing of the Civil Air Patrol during their annual encampment Aug. 17, 2019, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. During his visit, Williams met with the wing’s leadership and addressed nearly 450 cadets, ranging in age from 12-18 years old. During their week-long encampment at Fort Pickett, the cadets conducted physical and leadership training and practiced drill. The Civil Air Patrol is the citizen auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, and supports communities with emergency response, youth development and promotion of air, space and cyber education.
