VNG Soldiers staged and ready for Hurricane Dorian response

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Virginia Beach-based 1173rd Transportation Company, 1030th Transportation Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group stage vehicles for possible emergency response missions as a result of Hurricane Dorian Sept. 5, 2019, in Onancock, Virginia. About 60 Soldiers are staged in strategic locations across Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore as part of Virginia’s multi-agency response to possible impacts from the storm. The Soldiers are equipped with light/medium tactical trucks, Humvees and chain saws and are prepared for high water transportation and debris reduction missions.
