Air Assault slingload operations at Fort Pickett

Military personnel hoping to earn the Air Assault Badge learn slingload operations Aug. 14 at Fort Pickett. A mobile training team from the Fort Benning-based Warrior Training Center made up of nine National Guard Soldiers from eight different states are teaching the 10-day course that trains personnel on U.S. Army rotary wing aircraft operations including combat air assault operations, rigging and slingload operations as well as rappelling from a helicopter.
