Virginia Defense Force conducts annual field training exercise
Approximately 500 members of the Virginia Defense Force conducted their annual division-level field training exercise Oct. 1-3 at Fort Pickett. The all-volunteer force trained on a number of different tasks including aerial reconnaissance operations using live video feed, communications operations with the VDF’s mobile command post systems, less-than-lethal security operations and basic entry level training for new VDF members.
