VNG Soldiers train with new weapons systems
Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Virginia Beach-based 329th Regional Support Group conduct a familiarization live fire with the M320A1 grenade launcher Dec. 11, 2020, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The live fire was part of a weeklong new equipment fielding and training for modern small arms, including the M320, which is replacing the M203, and the M17 pistol, which is replacing the M9. Unlike the M203, which must be attached to a rifle, the M320A1 can also be fired as a stand alone weapon. (U.S. National Guard photo by Mike Vrabel)
