VNG Soldiers compete in Region II Best Warrior Competition

Virginia National Guard Soldiers compete in the weapons qualification and obstacle course events at the Army National Guard Region II Best Warrior Competition May 12, 2021, at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. Spc. Michael Choi, an infantry Soldier assigned to the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, competed as Soldier of the Year for the Virginia Army National Guard, and Sgt. Samuel Johnson, an infantry Soldier assigned to Maneuver Training Center Fort Pickett, competed as the Noncommissioned Officer of the Year.
