VNG Soldiers move historic tracked mortar carrier to new home

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the G4 Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Team prepare an M84 armored self-propelled 4.2 mortar carrier for transport from the Charlottesville Readiness Center June 24, 2021, in Charlottesville, Virginia. The M84 will join other historical displays at the VNG's Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, where it will be refurbished by the “Friends of the Guard” volunteers.
