Virginia National Guard flight crews conduct hoist training with Soldiers assigned to the Fredericksburg-based 229th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Aug. 5, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The flight crews are assigned to the Chesterfield-based Detachment 2, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 169th Aviation Regiment, and the training marked the first time they hoisted Soldiers outside their own unit.
