Red Dragons conduct gunnery during pre-deployment training

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, also known as Task Force Red Dragon, conduct a gunnery live-fire exercise, Nov. 16, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Gun crews utilized the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) system to engage targets with the M240B weapons system, as part of the validation process for deployment. The exercise was part of the battalion’s pre-deployment training being held at Fort Pickett.
