CLS course teaches Red Dragon personnel combat first aid
Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, also known as Task Force Red Dragon, conduct trauma and mass casualty lanes as part of their Combat Life Saver course, Nov. 17 and 18, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia.
The course is a 40-hour combat first aid course that teaches Soldiers how to identify and treat the top three most preventable causes of death on the battlefield. Medics trained and certified 70 Red Dragon personnel as part of the validation process for deployment.
