TF Red Dragon trains on Squad Designated Marksman Rifle

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, also known as Task Force Red Dragon, conduct Soldier familiarization and qualifications with the Army’s new M110A1 Squad Designated Marksman Rifle Nov. 17, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Soldiers on the range were visited by Lt. Col. James Tierney, commander of Task Force Red Dragon, and Command Sgt. Maj. Doug Wolfe, the Task Force command sergeant major. The command team was given hands-on training and presented coins to Soldiers for exceptional performance during pre-mobilization.
