Senior leaders with Task Force Red Dragon, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), participate in a commemoration of the Battle of Camarón with French forces in Djibouti (FFDJ) at the French Base Djibouti April 28, 2022. The Bataille de Camerone which occurred over ten hours on April 30, 1863 between the Foreign Legion of the French army and the Mexican army, is regarded as a defining moment in the Foreign Legion's history. Members of the CJTF HOA regularly train with and work alongside allies, partners, and government organizations to achieve a unified effort to improve safety, security and prosperity in East Africa.
