Profita retires as VNG Command Senior Enlisted Leader

Chief Master Sgt. James J. Profita retires as the Virginia National Guard’s Command Senior Enlisted Leader Sept. 8, 2022, at the Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, presided over the ceremony and presented awards and recognitions along with other VNG leaders. Profita enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1992, joined the Virginia Air National Guard in 1994 and served in a variety of leadership assignments culminating as the VNG CSEL. He also volunteered for multiple stateside and overseas deployments including Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Noble Eagle. In his civilian career, Profita spent more than 25 years in the Chesterfield County Police, earning the rank of lieutenant and serving as a unit commander.
