Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to Maneuver Training Center Fort Pickett attend a staff ride to Sailor’s Creek Battlefield State Park, Sept. 18, 2022, in Rice, Virginia. MTC leaders learned about the significance of the Civil War battles that occurred at the location, and concentrated on the military tactics used by both Union and Confederate forces during the battle.
