Lt. Col. Sarah E. Handegard takes command of the Virginia Air National Guard’s Richmond-based Medical Detachment 1, 192nd Medical Group, 192nd Wing, during a ceremony Jan. 7, 2023, at the S. Yang, commander of the 192nd Medical Group, presided over the ceremony and passed the detatchment’s guidon to Handegard, symbolizing the assumption of command.
