Maj. Sidney C. Leslie takes command of the Portsmouth-based 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Lt. Col. Cory Brandon Lindsey Jan. 22, 2023, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Col. Christopher J. Samulski, commander of the 116th IBCT, presided over the change of command ceremony and the exchange of organizational colors signifying the transfer of command from Lindsey to Leslie.
