Engineers practice Bangalore operations at Fort Barfoot
Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the West Point-based 237th Engineer Company, 276th Engineer Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group conduct tactical demolitions training using M1A2 Bangalore Torpedoes during their two-week annual training June 9, 2023, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. The Bangalore was developed during WWI and is used primarily by combat engineers to clear wire obstacles and heavy undergrowth.
