Cyber Fortress 2.0 tests Virginia’s cyber response plan
Maj. Gen. James W. Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia, joins state elected officials, state and federal technology experts and public sector communication executives for distinguished visitor day at Cyber Fortress 2.0, July 20, 2023, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Cyber Fortress 2.0, which ran from July 10-21, brought together state and federal organizations who will respond in a real-world cyber incident and provided an opportunity to test Virginia’s cyber response plan and better prepare for future collective responses. As part of the VNG’s ongoing partnership with Finland, representatives of the Finnish Armed Cyber Reserve Force presented on how to conduct a similar cyber exercise in Finland and expressed an interest in future collaboration with the VNG.
