192nd Wing Airmen join Air Force JROTC ribbon cutting

Virginia National Guard Airmen assigned to the 192nd Wing join the ribbon cutting and open house for the Menchville High School Air Force JROTC Center of Excellence Aug. 24, 2023, in Newport News, Virginia. Senior leaders from the 192nd toured the facility which includes a flight simulator area developed with volunteer assistance from VaANG Airmen and also spoke with cadets. The partnership with Menchville High School is the first of several planned outreach opportunities with area JROTC programs to share VaANG Airmen skills and experience and offer mentorship and learning. Master Sgt. Joe Nickerson, Master Sgt. William "Scott" Marioth, Technical Sgt. Nathan Hayes and Staff Sgt. Forrest Linker volunteered their time to set up the flight simulator area and were in attendance for the event.
