237th Engineers conduct Sapper validation

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the West Point-based 237th Engineer Company, 276th Engineer Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group participate in a Sapper prep validation event March 6, 2024, in West Point, Virginia. Four 237th Soldiers conducted a Sapper Physical Fitness Test, followed by Sapper Tactical Tasks, including weapons and communications gear knowledge, plotting points and identifying terrain features on a map and tying into a demolitions line. The Soldiers also trained on land navigation and conducted a ruck march at Fort Barfoot after the events in West Point. The training is designed to prepare the engineers for the Sapper Leaders Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Read more about the 276th Engineer Battalion at ngpa.us/28808.
