VNG hosts refresher training for victim advocates from 10 states

Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia, speaks to more than 50 Soldiers and civilians from 10 states who attended a week-long Sexual Assault Prevention and Response victim advocate refresher training March 27, 2024, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Hosted by the Virginia National Guard, the purpose of the training was to increase the professional ability of victim advocates to support survivors of sexual assault. The training team was supported by the Virginia National Guard SAPR team, the Virginia National Guard Integrated Prevention Team, the Virginia National Guard Equal Employment Opportunity team, the Delaware National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve 80th Training Command.
