Fort Barfoot welcomes new NCOs during induction ceremony

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to Maneuver Training Center Fort Barfoot welcomed more than 30 new noncommissioned officers into the NCO Corps during an induction ceremony Oct. 11, 2024, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. Command Sgt. Maj. Irving Reed Jr., the Virginia Army National Guard’s command sergeant major, gave remarks during the ceremony, as did senior enlisted MTC leadership. After reciting the Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer, the new NCOs passed through a ceremonial archway symbolizing the transition from Soldier to NCO. The ceremony was the first NCO induction for MTC in recent history, and NCOs promoted in the last several years participated in the event. Read more about Fort Barfoot at vngpao.info/2p8kwcw6.
