McClellan, Ring visit with 116th Soldiers during XCTC

U.S. Rep. Jennifer McClellan and Maj. Gen. James W. Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia, visit with troops assigned to the Staunton-based 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team during their eXportable Combat Training Capability rotation June 20, 2025, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Soldiers with the 116th demonstrated new technology used during training, and McClellan and Ring thanked the Soldiers for their hard work during the three-week exercise, and presented their challenge coins to Soldiers for outstanding duty performance. The 116th is the first Army National Guard brigade to test the approved task organization for a mobile brigade combat team, and it will be evaluated during the 21-day XCTC rotation.
