VNG HART trains on advanced hoist techniques
Members of Virginia’s Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team, or HART, train on advanced hoist techniques July 17, 2025, at the Chesterfield County Public Safety Training Center in Chesterfield, Virginia. The HART is comprised of Virginia Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crews and Chesterfield Fire & EMS rescue technicians and provides rotary wing aviation hoist capabilities and aerial rescue evacuation. During the training, the team conducted numerous live hoists from various locations at the training center, including from a rooftop and from the roof of a car positioned under a tree.
