Virginia Air National Guard outstanding Airmen recognized

Brig. Gen. Wayne A. Wright, Chief of Staff for the Virginia Air National Guard, presents Master Sgt. Todd R. Henry with the Virginia National Guard Commendation Medal March 3 at the 203rd RED HORSE Squadron Headquarters in Virginia Beach. Henry distinguished himself in the performance of outstanding service while assigned to the 203rd RED HORSE Squadron from Jan. 1, 2010 to Dec. 31, 2010, and his accomplished culminated when he was selected as the 2010 Virginia Air National Guard’s Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. While serving as a structural craftsman, Henry rigorously trained and expertly led the K-Span and Revetment teams during Phase II of the 2010 Operational Readiness Inspection resulting in both teams receiving “Excellent” ratings on the final evaluation. He also led the St. Michael’s “Deployment for Training” Equipment Reconstitution Team as the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge which required the safe successful coordination and road movement of over one million dollars of equipment and 12 personnel over 2,100 miles.
