Officer candidates conduct field training
Officer candidates in Virginia National Guard Officer Candidate School Class 53 conduct Army Warrior Task and battle drill training April 9 at Fort Pickett. The candidates began the OCS program in October 2009 and are preparing for a five-day field training exercise scheduled to take place in June to be followed by a two-week annual training period in August. The class currently has 17 members and is on track for graduation in October 2011.The Virginia Guard OCS is part of 3rd Battalion, 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute.
