Governor McDonnell signs two bills that affects the Virginia Guard and recognizes the 192nd Fighter Wing for excellence
Governor Bob McDonnell signed two bills that authorized the pre-positioning of the Virginia National Guard and Virginia Defense Forces to be brought on state active duty prior to the event and instituted a penalty for Guard members who fail to report for duty at an event at the Henrico Public Safety Building May 2. Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, the Adjutant General of Virginia attended the signing with Soldiers, Airmen and Virginia Defense Force members. Long also receive a proclamation that commended the 192nd Fighter Wing on their “Excellent” rating on the ACC Operational Readiness Inspection from Governor McDonnell.
