Soldiers of the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Brigade Combat Team fire 120mm mortar rounds Sept. 20 during annual training at Fort Pickett. The Adjutant General of Virginia, Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long Jr., paid the troops a visit during the fire mission.
