Thirteen officer candidates from the Virginia National Guard Officer Candidate School receive their commissions as second lieutenants during a graduation and commissioning ceremony Oct. 22 at Fort Pickett. All Soldiers were members of either Class 53 or Class 54B. Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, was the guest speaker.
