Soldiers enrolled in the Infantry Transition Course at the Blackstone-based 183rd Regional Training Institute rehearse military operations in urban terrain techniques July 19 at Fort Pickett’s Cherry Village. The Soldiers are from various units across the country and include both active duty and National Guard Soldiers. Two infantry transition courses are being taught at Fort Pickett at the same time, one for junior enlisted Soldiers and one for non-commissioned officers that provides additional training in infantry leadership techniques. The two-week course will allow all Soldiers that successfully complete the course to gain infantryman as a military occupational specialty. (Photo by Staff Sgt. Terra C.
