Transportation Soldiers conduct rappel tower training
Soldiers from the Martinsville-based 1173rd Transportation Company, 1030th Transportation Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group conduct rappel tower training August 12 at Fort Pickett. The training was part of the company's two-week annual training period that included individual and crew served weapons qualification, NBC chamber, confidence course, closer quarters marksmanship, convoy live fire, IED defeat and a three-day field training exercise. Approximate 130 Soldiers from the company, including the detachment from Onancock, were on hand for the training.
