Stafford Civil War Park opens with help from Virginia Guard

Visitors view one of many signs designed to educate the public about the historic significance of the site, which served as a Union army headquarters camp during the winter of 1862-63. The Virginia Army Guard’s 276th Engineer Battalion and the Virginia Air Guard’s 203rd Red Horse Engineer Squadron played a key role in building the park, which opened to the public April 27, 2013.
