Va. Army Guard recruits prepare for basic training

Members of the Virginia National Guard Recruit Sustainment Program train with Virginia National Guard Soldiers on military skills and procedures May 19, 2013 in Sandston, Va. The Recruit Sustainment Program is designed to introduce the fundamentals of the Army to new recruits waiting to ship to Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training. While attending their drill weekend May 18-19, the more than 30 recruits also conducted Army physical fitness training, practiced drill and ceremony, and learned about the Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program.
