AG and 29th Band support Army birthday event

Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Soldiers from the Clifton Forge-based 29th Infantry Division Band support the celebration of Flag Day and the Army's 238th birthday June 14, 2013, at the Vinton War Memorial in Vinton, Va. Long placed a wreath, rendered honors and cut the Army birthday cake along with Sgt. 1st Class Timothy Drewry from the Army Reserve and Staff Sgt. Jonathan Moore from the active Army, and Soldiers from the band provided a color guard and a bugler to play taps. The Stonewall Jackson Chapter of the Association of the United States Army hosted the event that also recognized the service of Vietnam Veterans.
