Virginia Guard recognizes top units, receives resolutions from General Assembly - April 23, 2010

The Virginia National Guard recognized the top units in the commonwealth April 23, 2010 in Williamsburg at the Virginia National Guard Officers Conference. Virginia Senator Mark Herring and Delegate John Cosgrove also presented Maj. Gen. Robert B. Newman, Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, with resolutions from the Virginia Senate and the Virginia House of Delegates, and both legislators received shell casings from the 19-gun salute fired by the Virginia Guard in January at Gov. McDonnell’s inauguration.
