Virginia Guard Soldiers represent the modern military at "Military Through the Ages" event -- March 19, 2011

Soldiers from Battery B, 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery, 116th Brigade Combat Team provide support for the "Military Through the Ages" event March 19 at the Jamestown Settlement. Hundreds of re-enactors depicting armed forces from the eighth century to modern times came together for the annual event, with the Virginia National Guard Soldiers representing the modern military. The Soldiers provided a howitzer for a static display, answered questions from the attendees about their equipment and the Virginia Guard in general and fired the howitzer to mark the official end of the event's first day.
