Senator Garrett visits Va. Guard facilities

Senator Thomas A. Garrett of the 22nd Virginia Senate District visits Virginia National Guard facilities in Sandston, Joint Base Langley Eustis and Virginia Beach Dec. 18, 2013. After sitting in on the weekly commander update brief at the Virginia National Guard Joint Operations Center in Sandston, Garrett visited leaders from the 192nd Fighter Wing to see an F-22 Raptor and learn about the unit's mission, then toured Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach and took part in marksmanship training in one of the many combat simulators on the post. He ended the day with a visit to the Army Aviation Support Facility in Sandston and learned more about the Va. Guard's rotary wing aviation capabilities.
