JFHQ holds family day - April 13, 2014

Soldiers and Airmen, along with their families, from the Virginia National Guard’s Sandston-based Joint Force Headquarters gather at the Twin Lakes Recreation Area in Blackstone, Va. April 13, 2014, for the unit’s annual family day event. The day kicked off with briefings on topics including sexual harassment and assault prevention and response and emergency preparedness. Following lunch, prepared on a massive grill by JFHQ Soldiers, family members and their Soldiers participated in a variety of activities including kayak and canoe racing, rock wall climbing, tug of war, and cornhole.
