Va. DMV2Go provides on-site services to deploying 529th CSSB Soldiers - May 10, 2014
Virginia Secretary of Transportation Aubrey L. Lane, Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles Richard Holcomb, Del. Scott Taylor, R- Virginia Beach, and Brig. Gen. Blake Ortner, Virginia National Guard Land Component Commander, visit the Virginia National Guard’s 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion during their drill weekend May 10, 2014, at Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach. The DMV’s mobile unit, DMV2Go, was on hand to provide on-site assistance to Soldiers who may need its services in advance of their upcoming deployment. DMV 2 Go is a full-service office on wheels that provides all DMV transactions including vehicle titles, license plates and decals. The Soldiers also conducted premobilization training in which they verified financial and administrative information, ensured their medical records are up to date and visited with chaplain and legal authorities. Approximately 70 Soldiers from the 529th CSSB, 329th Regional Support Group are scheduled to deploy to Kuwait this summer.
