Soldiers graduate Air Assault School at Fort Pickett

Nearly 200 Soldiers earned their Air Assault wings after completing the 10-day course run by the Fort Benning-based Army National Guard Warrior Training Center Aug. 7-17, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Capt. Leonid A. Godunov, a Virginia National Guard Soldier assigned to Alpha Troop, 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavarly Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team was the course honor graduate, and Sgt. Yung M. Tszyanamber had the fastest 12-mile ruck march time at two hours and 12 minutes. Spc. Kwan T. Chheang of the Maine Army National Guard was recognized as the youngest Soldier to earn their wings. Of the 199 Soldiers who completed the course, 189 were Army National Guard, eight were ROTC cadets, two were active Army and one was Army Reserve.
