VNG welcomes representatives from Finnish Defense Forces - Nov. 9, 2018

The Virginia National Guard hosts officers from the Finnish Defense Forces for a tour Nov. 9, 2018, of the new Virginia National Guard Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond and the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond, Virginia. Brig. Gen. James W. Ring, the VNG Director of the Joint Staff, welcomed leaders from the Finnish Defense Forces including Brig. Gen. Pekka Juhani Toveri, Defence Attaché United States and Canada, and Brig. Gen. Pasi Välimäki, commander of Karelia Brigade. The visit is part of an ongoing relationship with the VNG and Finnish Defense Forces to increase joint interagency, intergovernmental and multinational integration in order to build readiness for both organizations.
