AG kicks off Jamestown Day with salute
Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, fires a salute from the deck of the Susan Constant to mark the departure of Godspeed May 11, 2019, at the Jamestown Settlement near Williamsburg, Virginia, during the Jamestown Day event marking the 412th anniversary of the founding of America's first permanent English settlement. The Susan Constant and Godspeed are two of the replica ships at the settlement, and the Godspeed departed for sailing maneuvers on the James River.
