Thunder Battalion welcomes Reinhold as new commander

Lt. Col. Charles E. Reinhold assumes command of the Norfolk-based 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Lt. Col. Shawn G. Talmadge during a traditional change of command ceremony Sept. 7, 2019, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Col. Joseph A. DiNonno, commander of the 116th IBCT, presided over the traditional exchange of unit colors that signified the transfer of command from Talmadge to Reinhold. Soldiers assigned to the Troutville-based 29th Infantry Division Band provided ceremonial music for the occasion.
