VNG Soldiers haul 50k masks for Henrico citizens - May 21, 2020
Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 276th Engineer Battalion, 329th Regional Support group deliver a shipment of 50,000 face masks to Henrico County May 21, 2020, after picking up the masks in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Soldiers drove approximately 500 miles to complete the mission and the masks will be included in 15,000 care packages set to be delivered to Henrico’s vulnerable populations in the coming days. During COVID-19 operations, the Virginia Department of Emergency Management synchronizes the state response and provides taskings to the VNG in coordination with the Virginia Department of Health based on requests by localities.
