Reed succeeds Stanley as 116th IBCT command sergeant major - Aug. 1, 2021

Command Sgt. Maj. Irving N. Reed, Jr., takes responsibility as the command sergeant major for the Staunton-based 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Command Sgt. Maj. Robert R. Stanley Aug. 1, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Col. Christopher J. Samulski, commander of the 116th, presided over the ceremony that included an exchange of organizational colors representing the change of responsibility of the brigade’s senior noncommissioned officer from Stanley to Reed.
